A 20-second script.
One idea, clearly shown.
Use this compact storyboard to turn a product tour into a focused app promo. Each scene has one job and one piece of evidence.
A useful 20-second app promo can spend 0–3 seconds on the benefit, 3–8 on the action, 8–15 on the result and 15–20 on the invitation. These are planning ranges, not a mandatory template or an attention guarantee.
Write the promise before the headline
Complete this sentence: this app helps a specific person do one useful thing. Then choose the screen that proves it. If the promised result never appears in the app, change the promise instead of adding a convincing but unrelated generated image.
Give each scene a different job
The opening earns context, the action explains the mechanism, the result makes the benefit concrete, and the close gives one next step. Avoid repeating the same screen with different large headlines. When screenshots are the source, describe the visible states rather than inventing gestures between them.
Read the film without sound
On-screen words should carry the point without becoming a paragraph. Keep important text away from the destination platform’s interface overlays. Then watch with sound to catch abrupt endings and audio that competes with the visual rhythm.
Prepare a second opening, not a second product
If the first film is unclear, keep the same evidence and try a different benefit-led opening. Compare a question with a concrete outcome, but do not claim that one will produce more installs without measured results. Use the free planner to create a starting brief; the planner does not call an AI API.
A storyboard to adapt
| Time / position | Job | Copy / visual | Evidence / question |
|---|---|---|---|
| 00–03 | The benefit | “Make room for a short practice.” | A clear practice or result screen |
| 03–08 | The action | “Choose a session that fits.” | Practice library or selected session |
| 08–15 | The proof | “Follow along. Keep your week in view.” | Guided movement and a weekly plan |
| 15–20 | The invitation | “Explore Pose.” | Product name and a real destination |
Questions before you start
Should every promo use exactly four scenes?
No. These ranges help with planning. The product evidence and reading time determine the final number of scenes. LaunchCut caps new generated films at 20 seconds.
Is this free AI video generation?
No. This guide and the script planner are free to use. AI video creation in the studio requires a paid credit balance.
